Students may not normally undertake a subject until all the pre-requisite requirements have been met. In certain situations approval may be granted to study the pre-requisite simultaneously with the desired subject. All applications for this approval must be presented in person to the AIBT Principal. These decisions shall be based on advice from ECU, and on prior academic performance.
Eligibility to enroll into the Bachelor of Communication will depend on the qualifications one has attained. Those with qualifications listed below are eligible to enroll into the Bachelor of Business Program;
» Holders of A-Level qualification with passes in two (2) subjects or equivalent
» Holders of Certificates, Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas in Journalism, Public Relations and other qualifications.
Advanced Standing or Exemptions
Applicants that already hold Certificates, Diplomas, and Higher Diplomas with any of the common education providers [i.e. ABMA, ABE, NIPA, and Evelyn Hone College etc] should discuss their situation with an authorised officer of AIBT. Advanced Standing is granted on a case by case basis.
All applications for advanced standing are processed by ECU in Perth, Western Australia. Applicants for exemptions must note that ECU can exempt up to a maximum of twelve (12) subjects and such a position on exemption status will allow a Student to attain the degree in just 1 year. Furthermore, no fee is charged for any exemptions given as the case is with other examining/professional bodies. Applicants are advised to bring full curricula documents with transcripts and qualifications to ensure the greatest chance of success.
